{"id":2465,"date":"2023-05-18T11:05:10","date_gmt":"2023-05-18T17:05:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/infancialatina.org\/?p=2465"},"modified":"2023-05-18T15:18:52","modified_gmt":"2023-05-18T21:18:52","slug":"atencion-a-la-ninez-en-mexico-requiere-fortalecer-la-politica-publica-que-hoy-se-genera-a-traves-de-los-sipinnas","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/infancialatina.org\/en_us\/notas-de-prensa\/atencion-a-la-ninez-en-mexico-requiere-fortalecer-la-politica-publica-que-hoy-se-genera-a-traves-de-los-sipinnas\/","title":{"rendered":"<strong>CARE FOR CHILDREN IN MEXICO REQUIRES STRENGTHENING THE PUBLIC POLICY THAT IS GENERATED THROUGH THE SIPINNAS TODAY<\/strong>"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Organizations and authorities hold forum on best practices for coordinating public programs for children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2022 Coordination and the capacity to articulate are necessary to provide support and protection to the country&#039;s girls, boys, and adolescents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>May 17, 2023.<\/em> With the aim of presenting best practices to achieve better coordination between high authorities and social organizations working on the comprehensive protection of more than 38 million girls, boys and adolescents in Mexico, the virtual forum \u201cAdvances and challenges of the SIPINNA in dialogue with social organizations in Mexico\u201d was held today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the inauguration, Isabel Crowley, former UNICEF Representative in Mexico and President of Tejiendo Redes Infancia, emphasized the importance of continuing to strengthen SIPINNA by \u201chaving a deep dialogue, learning about how the System works and how important it is for Mexico, as well as the coordination and articulation capacity that this means to truly provide support and protection to the country&#039;s children and adolescents.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For her part, Constanza Tort San Rom\u00e1n, Acting Director of SIPINNA, highlighted the importance of this dialogue space, which, she noted, must be permanent to ensure its strengthening. \u201cWithout the work and impetus of social organizations in our country, a public policy on the rights of children and adolescents, such as the one derived from the Law (General Law on the Rights of Children and Adolescents), would be practically unthinkable. Addressing the needs of children requires public policy, and in our country today, public policy is generated through the Protection Systems,\u201d she stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Juan Mart\u00edn P\u00e9rez, Regional Coordinator of Tejiendo Redes Infancia (Weaving Childhood Networks), closed the day&#039;s work, highlighting the System&#039;s strength not only in its commitment to the human rights agenda for children and adolescents, but also in its rights-based approach. He emphasized that collaborative work can ensure that guaranteeing children&#039;s rights &quot;becomes an everyday reality, so that in the community, in the daily lives of every child, SIPINNA (National System for the Comprehensive Protection of Children and Adolescents) can be a tangible reality and not just a name, a logo, or something distant from children.&quot;\u201c<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The event, organized by Tejiendo Redes Infancia en Am\u00e9rica Latina y el Caribe (Weaving Networks for Childhood in Latin America and the Caribbean), had broad participation from federal, state and municipal authorities that are part of the National System for the Comprehensive Protection of Girls, Boys and Adolescents (SIPINNA). In addition, nearly 300 people followed the live broadcast: public officials, representatives of social organizations, adolescents and young people, academics and experts on the subject of children&#039;s and adolescents&#039; rights, among others, and more than 12,000 interactions were recorded on the different platforms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Throughout the day&#039;s work, seven panels shared the experiences and lessons learned by the Executive Secretariats of SIPINNA and the Offices of the Attorney for the Protection of Children&#039;s Rights at the federal, state, and municipal levels, as well as the challenges and strategies for strengthening dialogue and collaboration with social organizations. The knowledge and proposals of social organizations for improving the comprehensive protection system were also gathered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The virtual forum was broadcast live on Ollin.TV and can be viewed on Tejiendo Redes Infancia&#039;s social media channels.
